Terms of Use

Draft for review. This document was drafted in-house on 2026-08-22, has not been reviewed by a lawyer, is not legal advice, and is published here so it can be read and corrected. It does not take effect until Geoffrey Kent approves a reviewed version, and approval replaces this draft rather than amending it.

Version draft-2026-08-22, not in effect. Status: draft.

These terms govern your use of Geoffrey Kent Academy. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password to yourself. One account is for one person. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has access to it.

What the Academy provides

Access to the Founder Readiness diagnostic and any other instrument published on the platform, to your scorecard and the mission built from it, and to the lessons, resources and access levels your membership includes. What a given membership includes is described where you buy it and can change over time, with notice.

Ownership of the material

Geoffrey Kent owns the Academy's curriculum, diagnostics, frameworks, scorecards, archetypes, missions, written material and video. Your membership is a personal, non-transferable licence to use that material for your own business while your membership is active. It is not a transfer of ownership and not a licence to teach it, resell it, or make it available to anyone else.

You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, record, scrape or systematically download the material, use it to train a machine-learning model, or share your account so somebody else can reach it. If you want to use the material with your own clients or team, ask; there is a licensing conversation to have and it is a reasonable one to start.

What you contribute

Anything you write into the platform stays yours. You give the Academy permission to store and display it as needed to run the service for you. Do not upload anything unlawful, anything that infringes somebody else's rights, or anything you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, probe or overload the platform, evade access controls, or use the Academy to harass anybody. We may suspend or close an account that does.

Availability

The Academy is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, and we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, add to or withdraw parts of the platform as the product develops.

Ending your membership

You can stop at any time; see the Subscription Terms for what happens to billing and access. We may end a membership for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will say why.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, the Academy's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and the Academy is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or lost business opportunity. The Academy is educational: decisions you make about your business remain yours. See the Educational Disclaimer.

Governing law

The governing law and the venue for disputes are not settled in this draft. They are one of the specific questions a reviewer is asked to answer before it is approved.

Changes

When these terms change, the new version is published with a new version identifier and your agreement is asked for again rather than carried forward.
