Subscription Terms

Draft for review. This document was drafted in-house on 2026-08-22, has not been reviewed by a lawyer, is not legal advice, and is published here so it can be read and corrected. It does not take effect until Geoffrey Kent approves a reviewed version, and approval replaces this draft rather than amending it.

Version draft-2026-08-22, not in effect. Status: draft.

These terms describe how membership billing works. They sit alongside the Terms of Use rather than replacing them.

Membership and billing

Membership is a recurring subscription. The price, the billing interval and what the membership includes are shown at checkout before you pay, and that screen is the authoritative statement of them. Payment is taken by our payment processor; the Academy never sees or stores your card number.

Renewal

Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing interval, at the price then shown for your plan, until you cancel. If a price changes, you will be told before the change applies to you and you can cancel instead.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your access continues to the end of the interval you have already paid for, and is not cut short on the day you cancel.

Failed payment

If a payment fails, the processor may retry it. If it keeps failing, membership access pauses until the payment succeeds. Your account, your diagnostic results and your progress are not deleted because a payment failed.

Changing plan

Where more than one membership level exists, moving between them takes effect as described at the point you change, including how any part-period is handled.

Taxes

Prices are shown exclusive of any tax that applies where you are, unless the checkout screen says otherwise. Any such tax is added at checkout.

What is not settled in this draft

The commercial packaging, including the final membership names and what each one includes, is still being agreed. This document is written so a change to those names does not change the rules above, but a reviewer should read it against the packaging that is finally agreed.
